The Last Days of Summer 9/23/2012

Today, Sunday September 23, 2012, a small group of us decided to hit the ocean and do some exploring. We left Haulover inlet which is located in the Bal Harbour area and conditions were easy 1ft or less and barely any chop to speak of. We took the ocean South into the Government Cut inlet in Miami Beach. On the way we decided to do some snorkeling in the Jose Cuervo Bar. A few rental ski's decided to race us as we were coming down, most likely a few tourists just having a blast out on the water. The rental places here in South Florida charge around $150+ Per hour to rent a wave runner so its not cheap! We found a bunch of dolphins along the way just hanging out. They feel comfortable hanging out around waverunner's for some reason so that is very cool! I hope you guys enjoy the pics and video!!! VIDEO

Biking Markham Park, Weston Florida

This has been a very rainy weekend for us here in South Florida and we have been expecting rain for the duration of the week. Since staying in was simply out of the question we decided to hit up the mountain biking trails at a local park. Due to the heavy rains we figured it would be a lot of fun going through all the mud, and it was! The following picture we took at Markham Park after going through the mud and doing most of the trails. The intermediate trails were far too easy and the Advanced trails really kick some butt! I think for next time we will surely gear up and be just a bit smarter LOL. We also got attacked by killer mosquitos while we were there. All in all it was a fun day!

Late Night Bike Ride (North Miami Beach)

Decided to go bike ride for a little bit tonight with a friend. Of course I had to stop by the ocean to see how the conditions were. I only took one picture, sorry everyone! Haulover, Florida.

9/16/2012 Key Biscayne Bike Ride

On Sunday, September 16, 2012 we decided to hit Key Biscayne and cruise around there on the bikes since it was a super rainy day here in South Florida. We drove down and found great parking at the nearby marina. On today's trip we had 2 Specialized bikes, an Enduro and a Rockhopper. It was a lot of fun going through the dirt trails that ended up flooded due to the rains. We did 12 miles and it was a great time. Looking at how flat the water was made us regret not taking the skis out LOL.

9/15/2012 Jet Ski Session

The ocean called for 2-3ft waves with a choppy inlet. We got together with a few Sea-Doo's, a couple of Yamaha's and a Honda F15X and decided to hit the water. The inlet was actually pretty flat with no real waves or chop to speak of. The inlet was a different story and actually pretty fun. The outgoing tide and the incoming wind provided us with small rollers which are perfect for wave jumping. Small pic of air! Enjoy the video below!!! This was filmed by pwcpilot Pete so all credit goes to him!

9/9/2012 Jet Ski Ride down the beach...

Hopped on the waverunner and decided to cruise down the beach. Made it past the Miami inlet near the port and around the small islands. Ocean was pretty tame but the 10-15MPH wind provided for a nice chop. It was actually calmed in the ocean then in the inlet, very weird. I snapped a pic on the iphone really quickly, check it out!

9/8/2012 Morning Bike Ride...Manatee Spotting

This morning I decided to take a ride on my bike down the beach. I did around 8 miles along the coast and spotted a manatee coming in and playing around the inlet. Enjoy the video. Again this is filmed in MIAMI, Florida. Roman
